August 30, 2010 – What’s good family?!?!! The last couple of weeks have been a true growing experience. Having to trust and wholly depend on God seems easy on paper…but having to apply it to your actual walk is no easy task. And a lot of my reservations come from an unwillingness to let go of certain things (control freak), but ultimately the fear of the unknown can be outright paralyzing!! That’s what scares me the most…not knowing. And the funny thing is…that’s exactly what FAITH is, believing without seeing. God is moving in my life and I’m asking for the prayers of the saints that I live a life that’s blessing to God. I truly want to be willing AND obedient so that I may eat the good of the land. God bless!!!
June 26, 2010 – Words cannot even describe how the last two weekends have blessed my heart!!! Last weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to Detroit, MI to minister at Labourers For Christ for their Summer Blast Weekend. You talk about an awesome weekend?!!! The saints at LFC treated me like family from the moment I got off the plane. My accommodations were fit for a king…They didn’t just set me up with a place to lay my head, they gave me the keys to an ENTIRE HOUSE for the weekend and a car to drive around in while I was there!! You talk about being spoiled…I didn’t even feel worthy, I was like “Man, I hope they enjoy themselves on Friday evening”, cause they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Thankfully, God showed up (like he always does) and allowed those in attendance to be blessed by the songs that I shared. It was truly a special evening. But God wasn’t thru blessing me just yet…This past weekend I had the AWESOME opportunity to open up for one of my biggest influences musically…MISS ADRIANNE ARCHIE!!! You talk about shutting the house down…she tore that place up, and I had a front row seat. The fact that she enjoys my music just as much as I do hers is like sugar to my ears. I’m just in awe of where God is taking me….I literally don’t have room to receive it all.
June 15, 2010 – WOOOOOOW….I really don’t know how to feel right now. This past Sunday I was flooded with calls, text messages, and emails informing me that my Video for “Well Done” was played on “Video Gospel” on BET!!!!!!!! God is really out doing himself…To think…A song I recorded in my room and shot a video for is being played on a NATIONAL televised program?!?!!! I’m still trying to wrap my mind around that. The same show where countless other “BIG NAME” artist were being played…MY VIDEO played. The whole time people were calling me or messaging me I kept thinking of Proverbs 22:29 “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”. Look at the company I was surrounded by!!! Kings of the Industry!!! I’m not bragging or trying to puff myself up…I’m just testifying of where God has allowed my music to go. God is good ya’ll!!!!

June 2, 2010 - WOW…WOW…WOW!!! This past weekend was crazy!!!! Had the pleasure of going “home” to Nashville to sing at an Urban Soul Café event at Spoken Word Café featuring Candy West. One word….AMAZING!!! But that’s not the half of it…we ended up doing 3 other events while we were down there. All of them off the chain!! Met a lot of great people and got to uplift my fathers name….oh yeah, and grub on my Grandma’s cooking!! lol I also got to bring my band and Background singers with me also and we crashed at my grandparents house. They are by far the greatest people on earth…real talk. Love you Ralph and Vivian Smith!!! Shout out to Carlos Hale (For allowing us to rock out at Urban Soul Café), Adarine Fenton, Michelle “Shelly” McBride (For the awesome Interview on WTST…Too much fun!!), Diallo (Ridiculous Poet!!), Jimmie Smith (You tore them keys up sir!!!), Joel Buckner, and Pastor Christophe Ringer!!! April 26, 2010 - MUSIC VIDEO IS UP!!!!!!!!!! The video premiere went VERY well this past Saturday. Got a lot of positive responses!! So for those of you who weren’t able to attend the wait is OVER!! So glad that ya’ll finally get to see this music video!!! It’s a concept video so be sure to pay attention to the storyline. April 12, 2010 - Your boy has been beyond busy!!! You know how people always say “(Insert Year) is shaping up to be my year…so many doors are opening up for me, etc, etc, blah…blah…blah”. Lol Well….I’m not gonna say that. I’m just gonna show you. :-) It’s finally done!!! The music video for my song Well Done is premiering later this month at “We Tell Stories” Poetry Night (April 24th _ Java Dave’s 10 NE 10th St). So if you’re in the Oklahoma City area come on out and watch the live premiere of my VIDEO!!! The video will be viewable online and on the web starting April 26th…so if you can’t make it, hopefully you can wait a few more days and watch it on my website and across the web!! March 24, 2010 - Just posted some new dates on my “Up Coming Shows” list located under the “Contact” tab. If you’re in the local area would LOVE to see you in the audience!! Just wanted to share a scripture with ya’ll today…I was reading it last night and it stuck with me. It’s found in Psalms 66:18…and it reads… “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”. Wow….Iniquity or SIN will shut up Gods hears, and prevent him from hearing our prayers. Just some food to chew on, REPENT….lol. Naw, have a blessed week ya’ll. Two fingers!!!
March 6, 2010 – What’s good fam!!! Shout out to PositiveHipHop.tv!!! They really came thru for your boy in a big way. They were able to get my music placed in all the local area Malls here in Oklahoma City!!! So if you’re in the OKC area and find yourself in the mood for some Neo-Soul gospel and you’re near Quail Springs Mall, Penn Square Mall, or Crossroads Mall stop by any Xperience Music store and scoop up the CD!!! I’m really amazed at all the doors God is continuing to open….by no means am I worthy of it, but I’m definitely grateful for them. Feb 18, 2010 - Wanted to share a little thought with ya’ll I had today:
•If Jesus told us that “narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it”…why have we allowed Satan to manipulate us into thinking that we can walk the broad way and still make it in??
•Matt 7:14 - Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
•Strait - limited in space or time; closely fitting; CONSTRICTED, TIGHT
•Narrow - of slender width; illiberal in views or disposition, limited in size or scope
•When a walkway or hallway is narrow there is limited space in which to move. It’s constricted and basically forces you to go in one way or the other…North – South….East-West. There is no room to verve to the left or right. When a way is strait that means it’s CONSTRICTED….it’s not a anything goes mentally.
•So what is the WAY we’re supposed to walk in??
•Isaiah 35:8 - “And an highway shall be there, and a WAY, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.”
•HOLINESS!!! Living a Holy lifestyle may be seen as a restrictive way of life…but it’s the ONLY way to see God. Holiness cannot co-exist with a worldly mindset or dress. We can’t act, look and do everything that the world does and still be consider Holy (broadway) This way is restrictive for a reason…we can’t dibble-dabble in the world. Holiness doesn’t just affect your behavior it effects EVERY part of your life.

He made a way for my orders to be cancelled so I’m staying put!! God is showing out this year….So glad we serve a God who blesses us with the desires of our hearts. Jan 4, 2010 - Well saints of the most high God…it’s a new year. And with every New Year comes changes…more so now in my life than ever before. I just recently found out I’m going to be moving to the St. Louis area (Scott AFB, IL) in February…two months from now!!! It’s kind of bitter sweet, because I’ve literally grown up here….I came here in 2001 as a wide-eyed teenager, living on my own for the first time...hundreds of miles away from home. Then in 2005 God started opening doors for me to do music and I’ve been running ever since. It’s literally mind-boggling to think of where God has brought me over these almost 9 years I’ve been here. Not just maturity wise, but musically. He’s opened so many doors since I’ve been here…and it’s going to hurt to have to leave all of this behind. I started thinking a while back “Man, I’ve spent 4 years building this music ministry only to have to leave it all behind”. But I had to realize, I wasn’t doing any of this for MY glory…and God didn’t open the doors that he’s opened so that I could be elevated…he did it so that I could bring his name Glory. And now it’s time to move on. The gifts that I have are HIS to begin with….So however and WHEREVER he wants me to use them I have no choice but to obey.
Nov 3, 2009 - God just keeps showing himself to be an awesome (and Faithful) God. I just got word yesterday that the Kirk Franklin Concert I was slotted to open up for has been set for NOV 22nd!!!!!! It's a FREE event......Starts at 6pm!!! It's going to be held at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church....Hope to see you all there!!!

Sep 22, 2009 - Just getting back into town. Spent the weekend in beautiful Colorado Springs. It was quite the memorable experience. The whole "Life Without Lupas" team treated me like gold!!! I mean they went above and beyond for your boy. Fruit baskets, Platters of Fried Chicken in the fridge, Complimetary Dinner....I mean you name it they did it. Shout out to Re'Nai Frisco, Mark, Budda Boys, and The Tony Exum Band (Coldest band in the Mountain Time Zone). Thank you for making my weekend there a memorable one.

Aug 24, 2009 - This past weekend I had the pleasure of singing background vocals for my boy Aaron Franklin. I can't begin to tell you how awesome this boys voice is, not only that but how sincere his HEART is for blessing Gods people with his gift. He truly wants people to worship the great God we serve and that type of attitude is infectious. I'm proud of him and look forward to seeing him grow as an artist and Christian. Love you fam!!!
Aug 11, 2009 - My church back home is having their Annual Convention right now in Atlanta. Ohhh, How I wish I was there!! But God's will and plan for my life is what's best. So I'm praying that the saints have a blessed time!! Keep me lifted saints of Zion, I love ya'll.
Aug 8, 2009 - I'm convinced God invented basketball....lol. Well at least I believe he served as an inspiration for it. It's such a release for me. I'm grateful God has allowed us as humans to enjoy certain things in this life. Not that we put those pleasures above him, but in their proper context they can enrich our lives here on earth. 1 Cor 10:31 tells us "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." So every jumpshot I shoot, I'm giving God the glory. lol

Aug 6, 2009 - There's a scripture that God keeps bringing to my mind. It 's found in Romans 8:28...it reads "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." I'm thanking him for that scripture.
July 26 , 2009 - WOW...Last night was truly a very humbling experience. In a good way of course. I was able to witness just how great the God we serve is. The entire night was awesome!! From the Poets to the musical guests. Truly God was glorified that evening. I would like to thank each person who came out to support, I pray the CD blesses you!!
